Received my replacement Hopper, but same issue. Light doesn't come on and shows Invalid with software version 0.0.0. This is starting to piss me off.

The weird thing is, they work at first, then I a get the sling adapter is successfulconnected pop up a couple of times on one day. After that the red light is off and the sling adapter doesn't work anymore. I hope it isn't the Hopper.

I think your right, I don't think it is a issue with my hardware, HDCP is flawed protocol that doesn't work right.. I wish the entertaiment industrie realized that DRM doesn't work.

it is an Olevia 227-S11 on the Hopper and an Dynex dx lcd19 on the Joey.

Tried it with other cables. But every other week I have to reconnected cables and a power restart. If I go to diagnostics under setup it says in the HDCP section "yes". So it is supported. But every other week I get the message again.

I got the update, but it is still showing 500GB and that is with PTAT turned off.

No I did not, because at this moment I fail to understand why it has to do with any of my hardware if it works 95% of the time. And if it fails a reconnect fixes the issue. I don't mind trying that, but please explain why you think it could be the cable.

Thanks for the info. At this moment I actually don't know if my TV's support HDCP, but would it not be fair to say that my tv's do support it? Because it is working 99% of the time and if I do get the message a reconnect and power reset will fix it. Note: I just checked the manual of my main tv...

Ok today it happend again. Only now on the Hopper and because of that the Joey couldn't find the Hopper. I have the Hopper system 19 days now and this happend twice. Is this normal, am I going to power of and reconnect the HDMI cable every other week? :(

Well in the case of the Hopper it is not just a fluke. It is designed this way. I can reproduce it. I also had to delete and reprogram multiple timers because of this reason.

No they don't. On my old DVR system (comcast) I had a function where you could select allow duplicates. On the Hopper there is now way you can record a duplicate of a show. And I think that is what Billspin wants.

This morning my Joey had the message that my tv doesn't support HDCP when I select HBO. Till yesterday evening this was working just fine. I have done a reset on the Joey, but no luck.

I just found it under: setting: Diagnostics: Updates. But is that is kind of weird. I kinda get the feeling if I disable this, I also disable updates. Why heck is it under updates? Does anybody know?

I have my hopper set up with a Slingbox adapter. This works great. But I noticed that the hopper turns it self off after a X amount of time and then I can not access it anymore with Dish online. Is there a Power save option on the Hopper that I can adjust or turn off? Or is there another...

Thanks for your answer. Yeah, you are right about that, I didn't have to change to tone it yet. But I am afraid the splitter will be on where I like to have the hopper. And I am afraid that will be an issue.
