I have this problem on my Joey, but I think it's only an issue with live TV. Haven't done much testing/research into the exact conditions that cause this, but it definitely does not happen on my two Hoppers.

Ok so if I go with 2H/2J and eventually return one Joey when integration becomes possible, how do I order this? The Dish network website wants to sell me 1H/3J when I put in 4 TV's.

Is there some method of jumping to a certain point in a recording? If not, how fast is the fastest fast-forward?

One more TiVo feature we are used to: When fast forwarding or rewinding, clicking a button on the remote skips by 15 minute increments (skip to tick mark is what it's called I think). Very handy for jumping to the midpoint of a 2 hour recording, for example. Is there something similar on Hopper?

Because if I got a newer TV with HDMI input, I could use a silent Joey instead of the Hopper.

That's exactly what is preventing me from doing that. Standalone TiVos (and their monthly service) are outrageously expensive. I'm a TiVoholic, but the shock of spending that kind of cash is the cure to my addiction.

Bedroom TV is older and has no HDMI input, only component. Is the Hopper quiet enough to live in the bedroom?
