2 Years is coming up, what now?

My first 2 year commitment is coming to a close and I was just wondering what to expect. I just paid bill 23 last week, so next month will be the 24th. What happens then? Is it month to month with no commitment anymore/cancel anytime free of fees? Are there any incentives or promotions to do...

Comcast to Buy Time Warner Cable - Confirmed

I switched from being a long time TWC bundle guy to DirecTV about two years ago and I couldn't be happier. I still have TWC for internet, but if this deal goes through I'll need to start checking out the competition in anticipation of the inevitable rate gauging.

    After 2 year agreement

Thanks for the replies. I do plan to go the route of calling and asking for discounts when the time comes I just didn't know what the typical situation was. So, if my two years run out and I do nothing will my price stay the same until I change something? I know with TWC they'd increase prices...

    After 2 year agreement

This is the first time I have ever had satellite and I have been very satisfied with DirecTV compared to TWC. I have about 10 months left on the 2 year agreement and I am just curious as to what happens after the 2 years. Do you do another 2 years or is it month to month? Is it possible to get...

I Think I'm Ready for DirecTV

Well the install came and went Friday and after playing with it for the weekend and experiencing one heavy rain already I am very satisfied. The installer put the dish on my roof to aim it over some trees and had to run 1 new line and used existing lines for the rest. Hooked up my TWC internet...

    Directv sucks (problem resolved)

I've had so many horror stories with installers. One when I tried to get DTV before and several from Time Warner Cable. TWC, at least in my area, has gotten A LOT better in the last few years. I had everything from guys that were under the house for 6+ hours (sleeping I guess?) to guys who flat...

I Think I'm Ready for DirecTV

Yes they do. But now that you mention it I did have to use a workaround back in the day when ESPN360 was around. It was available for my parents but not for me in my area so I just used their info to access it...I had completely forgotten about that

I Think I'm Ready for DirecTV

Thank you for the quick and helpful responses! I'm going to go ahead and start my order. A few more questions about install... I've read they no longer or rarely put them on roofs anymore. After some research I've learned that this is because of safety and accessibility (correct?) but I am...

I Think I'm Ready for DirecTV

I've been going back and forth debating getting DirecTV for the past 3 years now. I considered U-Verse and go back and forth with my feelings towards TWC, but I think I'm finally ready to just go for it with DTV but wanted to see if this forum could help me with some questions I have before...
