    Seavey ESR-124H

Can see those also but the 11320 H is $ last time I looked. What I can't capture is the Canal Satellite Cairbe this far north on 903 with an 8'. Nice feed mod on your mesh dish.

    Seavey ESR-124H

The 124D does Ku very well on my 8' Channel Master prime focus dish. On C band, it does better than I originally thought. It can receive all the narrow TPs on G-16 also

    Seavey ESR-124H

I use the ESR-124D which is the orthomode version. I don't like to use polarity motors up north where I live because of possible freeze-up issues. I have found that this feed I use does a better job in keeping cross-polarity noise lower that a conventional co-rotor feed which results in a...

Anyone have a Avcom PSA 37-D Service Manual

Yes the manual would be a good place to start then after reading and trying some simple alignment procedures within that read, you can look for problems after that. I find I need to leave mine on for 20-30 mins to warmup for best accuracy. Having said that, I find that is a good overall tool...

Anyone have a Avcom PSA 37-D Service Manual

You might have to purchase one from AvCom. I use the 37D almost daily. Excellent unit for an older technology. What, if any, issues are you having with it? I have kept it operational. Mine was made in 1986.

Contest: Win Anything on the Titanium Satellite Website! - Ends December 29th, 2014

Remembering as a kid with a great family at Christmastime, we all helped decorate the home, tree, sang carols and hymns in church etc. but I sure do remember the joy of when I opened my big present: it was a Gilbert Chemistry Set and another year was the microscope kit that I had asked for...

old c band channel master please help

True about the LNBF. No I use a Seavey ortho with a mix of NJR Ku LNBs and C band LNBs. Also with that amount of weight on the feed arms, the CM's strong tubular arms hold it in place for repeatable performance day after day.

old c band channel master please help

I use an 8 foot Channel Master Solid dish (fiberglass) and works well for both C and Ku but if the dish in question is a mesh dish, I would agree with FaT Air's response above. If it's a Channel Master fiberglass, I'd keep it. A Channel Master fiberglass dish is a solid mesh contruction that...

How about a Chapparal C-Band OMT with "studs"?

I purchased mine used so it was much less! I also have the ESR-124? 4-port ortho in use with a ChannelMaster 2.4m. These are commercial feedhorns as you know, prices indicative. Nice feed. As far as frequency, both feeds have captured well below the 3700. With the circular 44, seen on 40.5W...

How about a Chapparal C-Band OMT with "studs"?

I use the Seavey ESA-44 for circular only (does receive some linear but not constructed for linear). The best way IMO to receive both the most effectively is, to have 2 dishes, 1 for circular and 1 for linear as there is always a compromise between receiving both simultaneously on the same...

    SOmething wrong with SES-6 ( 40.5W)?

Remember that FEC of 7/8 on City requires one to have more signal to receive (less error correction from receiver), compared to RCN that is 3/4 FEC. RCN is stronger than City. X2, Vantage, Coolsat receive all fine. 10' mesh.

    SOmething wrong with SES-6 ( 40.5W)?

Both channels (R) mentioned are FTA but Globo, (L) is now $$.

    SOmething wrong with SES-6 ( 40.5W)?

If I can chime in here, both of those channels asking about are back at same parameters. Also, normally $$, is Globo Recife FTA. For how long, probably not very long as it is almost always $$. Part of the hobby!

pics of the dish farm...post yours too :)

Here's a 10' mesh with a seavey circular C band feed that is looking at NSS-806 at the moment. It does very well in nulling out the opposite polarity being an orthomode type feed. The Channel Master dish in the background is an 8 footer also with an ortho on it. (Shot with a SONY DSC-H2...
