So.... I got an installer out here. The coordinates from Dishpointer AND the receiver were both wrong. I wasn't able to find anything because the tilt and elevation that I was using was wrong. The guy said he doesn't even pay attention to that stuff. He has a really nice signal tester and...

HELP!! Can't even get a signal with new SWM dish

My receiver was working fine before I switched dishes, and it auto detects the correct dish so I know it is getting power. I don't think the receiver would pick up the proper dish if the LNB was bad??

HELP!! Can't even get a signal with new SWM dish

We do get the same results. I was quoting true azimuth, not magnetic. But lets be realistic. If my other settings are accurate, I should get some hint of a signal at either azimuth setting. As it is, I am sweeping my azimuth trying to find a signal.

SWM Dish Connecting to r16 300 Receiver

Hello, I am replacing my old POS dish with a SWM (3 lnb) dish. My question is this: 1. Do i need to have the PI hooked up to aim it? 2. I saw some older information (2010) where people were having issues updating this receiver to allow SWM. My receiver has an input labeled "SWM" and I don't...
