I got in with this deal along with free Netflix before the deadline. The deal is still on minus Netflix now. I also used a $50 referral code plus the keyword "SWITCHNOW" which scored me a $200 VISA card. So all in all not bad. Looking forward to the Hopper 3.
Your correct, as I have been going back and forth between the two for 19 years. At least DISH is offering a 3 year price lock guarantee (we'll see how that goes). For me though, I prefer D* channel lineup packages over DISH.
I'm doing just the opposite, going back to Dish for like the 5th time. DirecTV has been good for the past two years, no problems with signal or equipment. Had a couple of small price hikes though.
The only hold up for me is completing the basement "man cave". I would like to go with a wireless Joey for that. Would there be an additional cost if I order the Joey after installation?
