just hang in there longer w them on the phone , I was able to get my 2nd 622 free outright plus 3mths free hbo. i basically told them i rather cancel & pay the penalty now(7mths left - $83) & switch to other service. & make sure u also sign up for dvr advantage & save an extra 3 bucks per mth :D

ok got in on the Dvr advantage with 1 free 622(in addition the the one i already have), free 3mths hbo & they gonna install everything in my new house next week! my total bill is $94.97. think I'm happy for now :)

did they mention when this "next gen" PocketDish will come out? reason I bought one was for my long flight to Singapore hopefully in August.... why can't they just provide a simple firmware update to enable the transfer - just trying to screw us consumer it seems...... I am so ready to...

since I can't transfer HD contents anyways, it'll be pointless for me to keep the Pocketdish. With my viewing habits, I won't have any SD contents to transfer with...... unless it'll automatically downconvert the HD contents to SD while transfering - which the tech support over at Pocketdish...

Anyone has experience with these combos?? I just placed an order for the av500e and was hoping that it'll record from the HD programs stored in my 622 - or will it just downconvert them to SD instead...... I really wanted the 100gb Archos version for $200 more, but too bad it doesn't have...

nope, no misunderstanding all... i repeated that i need "2 622" for 2 seperate rooms a few times just to make sure that it's no mistake. & she confirmed it for only "one upgrade fee of $299"!! i'm calling back today anyways to try & reschedule an earlier date, so I'll make sure & post here again.

I had a 811 that I own, less than 6 months ago I lease a 2nd 811 & new dish with 12 months commitment. Called at noon today & got 2 Vip622 for $299 & I only need to return the leased 811.

From what i've read, the $299 upgrade fee was for one Vip622.................. but I was able to get two Vip622 for only $299 this noon!! ?? so I'm just wondering if I'm super lucky??!! I will be returning them one leased 811, deactivate the other 811 that i owned($25 credit if I trade in)...

don't know....... i went through all the options and just wouldn't get no audio from optical but only from rca cable, but even still, the audio would sometimes goes off. don't think it's the receiver though, cause the optical from dvd still works... but you guys had me convinced somewhat...

the message goes on forever on the 811... i read on some post that there might be a firmware upgrade to allow OTA without dish.......hmmmmmmmmm...

oh mannn!! can't always have the best of both worlds i guess........ well i'm stuck now... they'll charge me $240 + $120(hd package) if i cancel now. and the program contents is much inferior to comcast( i miss g4tv )........... and i can't even get audio from optical out!!!

can the 811 receive ota channels independently without the satellite, or do i have to have a dish account active on the receiver in order to watch it :confused: :confused: i tried with just an antenna hooked up into 811, power on and it would look for a satellite signal and nothing...
