    RG6 2300mhz vs RG6 quad at 3mhz

    So I got a second dish 1000.2 western feed, aligned and got much better signal than my original dish. High 60's-70's on all 3 birds. As I had gotten a 100ft and 50 ft Quad I used them and pulled to the receiver locations, removing the RG6 2300mhz rated. I figure i'll get another new to replace...

    Weird 1000.2 issue

    So, one 211k on the 1000.2, one on a KVH TV4 dish on the boat.(61.5, 110,119 in KVH prog) The KVH tracking box died, will get it replaced, but thought Id put the receiver on the house Dish (110,119,129) to keep updated. Trying two different RG6 cables,(not quad or at least not labelled as such)...

    Weird one,

    All of a sudden, dish seems to have lost 110 and 129, but not obstructed or touched.Wx fine. Cables good, 311's are fine, just the Vip211k can't get HD and some SD. Anyone had a blind pigeon fly into the dish and whack it? I tightened it down good once aligned, signal strengths are lower that...

    VIP 211k picture format questions

    Went HD in the living room, top 250 package which includes a couple movie channels (TMC-w, TMC-xw,Encore w, Ewstn, Eactn, Mplex, fxm, ) On all channels other than these I've got full screen HD, 1080i, but on the above the picture is letter boxed on the sides and top/bottom.     Dish 1000.2 WA aligned, I think.....

    Used one of my 311 receivers to find 119, switched to 110 on screen signal strength, peaked both 119 and 110 back and forth for 70+ on 119, 65+ on 110, both transponder 21. My question is, after doing check switch the 311 receiver found 3 birds, but on the signal strength screen 129 selected...

    Leaving my existing dish 500 intact feeding 3 x 311 SD receivers, until I install a new dish500 relocated and adding a 1000.2WA for a Vip211k, which will replace one 311. Once aligned everything will move over to both new or just the 1000.2 what are recommended transponders to use per bird...

    poking around I see discontinued meters, high end meters, thinking of getting one for Dish 110,119,129, any advise on which is reasonably easy to figure out/use and good? Will use on a 1000.2 dish WA and dish 500WA (110,119)
