I have had the 811 now for a couple months and really haven't had any problems with it. Pretty good picture quality on my 57" Sony. My only complaint with it is having to download the programming menu every day or so... quite annoying. The SD DVR is nice since it does it in the background...

What about MPEG4 compression that is coming for HD this fall? Won't that make the shelf life of the 942 limited or does it support the new compression? Personally, with all the changes that are coming, I would wait... get the 921 if you need a DVR. You could also look at the lease options...

Thanks for the insight... To verify if I had a bad modulator, I switiched it over to my 921 system and broadcast that signal on channel 14. The modulator seems to work, the picture is a bit over saturated, but it is working. Now, you said you don't like diplexers. How else can I combine...
