    Yes, I can always go inverter, and they are fairly efficient now. But there are a number of computer power supplies that run on 12VDC instead of 110VAC, so the +5 and -5 shouldn't be a problem.     The only real downer was some of the TV shows we lost. We tend to let a few episodes of each build up and then binge watch them instead of hitting one each as the week goes along. Lost the first eight episodes of Blue Bloods and no way to get them back. It was the next one on the binge list.
