    622 OTA signal loss

I'm in Va Beach and have the same problem with WAVY. I'm using the Radio Shack variable attenuator to resolve the WAVY problem, but I can't find a sweat spot of attenuation where I don't lose WHRO. I corresponded with their engineer, and got the same "not my problem" answer.

Breakup & Loss of Signal on OTA Channel Using 622

I experienced a very similar problem with a single OTA channel here in Virginia Beach last week. After conversing with the lead engineer at the station regarding receiver overload, I tried disconnecting my Winegard Sensar antenna, and plugging in a plain FM Terk radio antenna. Station strength...

    Can a DP21 be used with a DP34 for a 4 sat. location?

To clarify, are you trying to connect 4 sats or 6 sats?

    Can a DP21 be used with a DP34 for a 4 sat. location?

It will work just as you described. If you have the dual tuner 942 receiver, you need two DP21's as you MUST have the same exact inputs to both tuners.

    Problem using 2 DP21s/DP34 to get 61.5 on a 942

Gave up and bought DP44 on eBay. Check switch repeatedly ran fine (4 of 4 green), but after program guide downloaded, I got pop-up that I needed to run check switch again.

    Problem using 2 DP21s/DP34 to get 61.5 on a 942

Not working again now. Could cable length be problem, causing different results each time? I think I am well under 200 ft.

    Problem using 2 DP21s/DP34 to get 61.5 on a 942

Strangest thing - I ran check switch five times in a row, and got different results each time without changing anything else. They all failed showing 1,2, or 3 sats (not even the same for tuner 1 and tuner 2), until run number 5 where the 942 showed all four sats checked out green on both...

    Problem using 2 DP21s/DP34 to get 61.5 on a 942

I'm trying to get the 61.5 bird added to my Superdish install with a single DP34 and two DP21. When I connect one output from DP34 into a DP21 with the other DP21 input from the 61.5, the check switch works fine showing 4 sats. But since 942 is dual tuner, I need to do this for both tuners, or...

Getting 942 to connect Tuner 1 to 61.5 in addition to Superdish

I didn't search to see if it worked on Fridays either. Were there any other random facts I forgot to explore? Back to eBay...

Getting 942 to connect Tuner 1 to 61.5 in addition to Superdish

I tried reasoning with it, but it just stares back at me, like it doesn't speak English or something. Why has no one mentioned this here, with a million people doing this DP21 - DP34 hookup for the Voom channels??

Getting 942 to connect Tuner 1 to 61.5 in addition to Superdish

I have a Superdish with 3 sat output going to both tuners of a 942 (separate lines from a DP34). I added a 61.5 dish combined with a DP21 on the Tuner 1 line, and could get the Voom channels when that was the only sat connected. Now that I have the other 3 sats connected, the check switch runs...

Voom dish and 61.5 not working

Actually I came up with a better solution. I used an angle grinder to make 2 cuts in the D arm of the Voom dish, then used pliars to bend a nice D shape into it. The LNB mounts firmly in the arm now, with the screw through the arm to hold it in place. Too five minutes or less. My real...

Voom dish and 61.5 not working

I am doing a very similar thing this morning with same results. I'm using a Y adapter to put a DP LNB Dual on the Voom dish, runing that into a Dp21 with other DP21 input being the output of a DP34. Many people here seem to have gotten it to work for Voom channels. Check switch results (on...

    4 sat locations with dp34 and dp21

I already have the two DP34s, that's why I'm looking for how to cascade them. I hooked up line 1 output (to receiver) of my first DP34 (from a Superdish) to the dish 1 input on a second DP34. The dish 2 input on the second DP34 is from one jack off a DP dual LNB retrofitted on a Voom dish...

    4 sat locations with dp34 and dp21

If I use two dp34s to combine the signals from a Superdish and a 61.5 dish, do I use the receiver output jack of first dp34 or the one intended for cascading? That is - the bottom jacks or the right jacks?

    DVR 942 Two Tuner Question

My 942 remote works flawlessly from the opposite end of the house upstairs from the 942. I was surprised how well!

voomers ota antenna switching over to dish

I tried playing around with the PS-9370 today. It actually outputs 18V AC, not 12V DC. Since the Voom box (and the 942) outputs DC, I assume the antenna has a rectifier and actually uses DC regardless of the input. I installed it and removed it in line with my antenna (Sensar II) with no...

voomers ota antenna switching over to dish

What was your signal strength for the locals? Using 942, mine are slightly lower than Voom receiver showed, but they are still locked in fine. One of my stations is only at 70 or so, but it still shows fine. Looking at the signals, the Voom box had a better tuner. I'm curious to know...

942 and Powered OTA from VOOM (Wineguard Sensor II) ?

Yes, I'm saying the 942 (don't know about 811) provides a 12V power supply on the OTA antenna line which will power winegard sensar antennas. Voom accomplished this by using a diplexer-type device to send the 13/18 volt output of the box into the LNB at 13/18 V and send 12V into the antenna...

942 and Powered OTA from VOOM (Wineguard Sensor II) ?

I checked the OTA input on the 942 with a meter. It provides 12 V DC just as labeled. I replaced diplexer on the roof with a simple male-male splice fitting and removed the Voom dish and diplexer, to simplify the setup. I was concerned that the LNB on the Voom dish in conjunction with the...

voomers ota antenna switching over to dish

Dish 942 has 12 V powered OTA antenna output. Dish 942 has 12 V powered OTA antenna output. While there is no mention of this in the owners manual, the markings on the unit clearly show that the OTA antenna input provides 12 V DC up to 150 milliamps. When I checked it with a multimeter, I got...

It's Official - VOOM ON DISH NETWORK!

I called the number shown on Voom's menu screen, and the CSR read me an "offer" from her screen. It said the Voom channels would be $5.00 in addition to 9.99 for the normal HD pack and would be at 61.5 orbital location. She listed the required DISH recievers (811, 921, 942, and a few I didn't...
