    Picture Quality

    We went from Dish (had way too many outages), to Cable (terrible picture HD & SD both, plus too few HD channels), to Direct TV, all within a couple of weeks, and Direct TV has a lot better picture, even the colors on the tv are much better,, so far, we are very pleased with Direct TV.

    I just had Dish install the new 211 receiver for HDTV. It has an HDMI output, however my Sony HDTV has just the component and DVI outputs.     Yes, call them back, I had a similar experience, and when I called back the CSR I talked to the second time set me up with a Dish 1000 install, this coming Sunday, and the tech that will install the dish will bring me the new receiver and set it up. I just have to return my 811 to them.

    DISH1000 Not Required?

    I called this morning for my upgrade, and I was told that I have a "superdish", and I would not need an a different dish. I sure hope the CSR was correct on that. Maybe I should call back and inquire?
