Not sure if this will help. When I first got my hoppers and joeys installed we could not get the remote to work with my Pioneer Audio Receivers. Tried multiple times. I finally Selected Audio Amplifier and it has worked ever since.

I'm in a similiar situation only I have 2 Hoppers and 3 Joeys. 1 Hopper and all 3 Joeys got the new software. So we have 4 people trying to share 1 Hopper. My understanding is the upgrades happen in stages based on the receiver number and there is no way to force an update.

2 Hoopers/3 Joeys is what I am looking at. While we wouldn't use 6 all of the time, we would need more than 3. We have 2 kids and are unlikely to be watching the same show. As it is currently, we have 4 receivers for a total of 8 tuners. Using PTAT will make up for losing 2 tuners.

DLNA is something that I am looking forward to. We have years of digitial pictures and camcorder videos. We will be able to watch them on the TV instead of a computer monitor.
