May I ask where in Central West KS? I live in Hays and was wondering how your reception is. Looking at the spotbeam map it looks like it should be okay, but I'm not sure. I've been considering the same thing--have had Dish for 14 months now and am sick of waiting for Wichita to come on line.

Any word on the Wichita-Hutchinson, KS dma? It seems we've been waiting forever. Wichita has all four networks locally. It was one of the bigger markets left without HD, yet still we wait. I know..."soon", right?

Wichita, KS DMA, also. It covers about 2/3 of the state. We have never even heard when they are thinking of launching HD locals in this area, although Directv has had them for a year.

signal OK, I just checked my signal strength and on sat 129 transponder 4 I'm getting 38, and on Sat 129 transponder 6 I get 37. If I understand correctly, KC hd locals are on 129/4 and Topeka are on 129/6. Does my signal strength indicate I can get local if I "move" there?
