Yeah, the 622 is a great box. You probably have something else goin on that is causing signal reception to drop, thus the funky recordings.

Ok let me pose this to you. Why not go with the 622 then? Its a two tuner HD-DVR that does SD on the second output. Run one tuner to the Panny plasma and one tuner to the SD TV. Problem solved. -Bill

They should do your install with a 211, and have it all prepped for when the 622 arrives so you can swap out the receivers and activate the 622.

Thus far, my reception on 129 is great. I have a seperate DISH 500 pointed at 129 though (thats how my installer did it..). I wouldnt mind at all having HD locals on 129. What are you noticing on 129?

It is possible that 3 hardware manufacturers produce the receivers for DISH and label them A, B, or C depending on which manufacturer produced your particular unit. Who knows...

Which transponders are you seeing the drops on? I just had my install done today and the installer setup a seperate DISH 500 pointed at 129 and all of the TP's I checked were around 75-90 in strength. -Bill

I upgraded my 942 to a 622 and my 811 to a 211 on the same phone call. $299 with the $200 rebate of the 942, and $49 for the 211. I can send them back the 811 for a $25 credit or try to sell it on my own, since I do own it. -Bill
