Is anyone else having trouble getting the Boston HD locals. Mine have been coming in and out for about a month or so. I've spoken to the case management group at DirecTV several times and they say they are aware of the problem and are trying to fix it. It hasn't been too big of a problem...

I have been having these problems intermittently as well with my local HD channels here in Boston. They have even gone on and off while I'm describing the problem to the case management group at DirecTV. I get strong signals on the 99 transponder so not sure really what the problem is.

I've had this problem outside of Boston. I've been losing signal intermittently on odd transponders on 103(b), even transponders on 103(b), locals in HD and this morning a new one - anything from 70-95 including ESPN, HBO, TNT, etc. Don't even come in on 206 or 209, etc.

I've had a host of problems. Originally had trouble receiving any of the new HD channels. Problem was the diplixers and multiswitches. Got them changed and starting getting the new channels. Then I started losing the ones on the odd transponders on the 103(b) satellite. Had my situation run...

I have had similar problems - all with the new HD channels on the odd transponders on 113(b) - 247, 511, etc. DirecTV changed my multiswitch to 2 Zinwells. They sent a guy out over the weekend to change it to 1 multiswitch and make sure it was grounded as they couldn't think of anything else...

I've had similiar issues. My odd transponders on 103(b) keep going in and out. Now they think all I need to have do is ground the multiswitch (which they are again going to change again).

I live in Boston which apparently has gone through the conversion; however, I didn't switch yet. Same reasons as you are considering: I currently get the local HD channels OTA (which by the way are not HD-LITE) so why bother? It's not like I'm missing anything.

Several months ago I complained about that same issue to a CSR and she stated that NESN in HD was one of the channels they were planning on adding to the Boston market when the new satellites were operational.

I apologize if this has been covered already and I can't find it; but, does anyone have a listing of what stations broadcast in 720p v 1080i. The Tivo box doesn't automatically change from one to another. I know Fox is 720p and Yes-HD is 1080i. Not sure about the other locals or the other...

I have the same audio problem but not on all HD stations. I notice on YES - HD when D* is showing an EI game, the center speaker audio (announcers) has a very low volume compared with the other speakers. It isn't a problem I have noticed with the other HD channels or other Dolby broadcasts.
