    No Vide on Joey

Update on my issues. I was out of town on Saturday and the Hopper did not have a Client ID that morning. Today is Sunday and now I have a Client ID. I did the reset procedures on the Joeys and now they both work. As far as video, I connected the composite cables and that worked. I configured the...

    No Vide on Joey

Yeah, I haven't been able to find Client ID on that page anywhere all day. I'm going to let it sit in standby overnight and see what happens. My retailer has additional Joeys on order so I may be stuck without it for at least 4 more days, ugh. Oh well, growing pains eh?

At this point I can only recommend visiting this link http://www.satelliteguys.us/hopper-zone/279345-joeys-wont-link-11.html#post2809828 in hopes that it will resolve the issues.

    No Vide on Joey

I ended up having to hook up RCA cables to get it working. Now I've got the 1303 error to go away but no software download and no link. Any other ideas?

He installed a single node. I'm going to be running a 1 Hopper 2 Joey configuration.

    No Vide on Joey

Installer was here trying to get my new Hopper/Joey setup done. It is his first Hopper install and he works for a retailer so I don't think he goes through the standard training channels. Anyway, he got the Hopper installed, it came up with some smart card errors, did a factory reset, and then...

    What a Storm!

But with how well DirecTV can advertise and market its services I think they could increase the customer base and increase the demand for that particular service. Or rather, I should say Liberty Media. I still say they ought to create their own sat music service. Maybe piggyback with their TV sats?

    House prewired for cable.

With the SWM switch you can split using a standard splitter. However, the SWM switch will need power going to it so you will need a power passing splitter with the power inserter connected to the power passing side. However, can you insert a standard CATV signal through that splitter? I think...

    What a Storm!

What I wouldn't mind seeing is Echostar acquiring Sirius/XM and then Liberty starting their own satellite music service or possibly trying to get the courts to split Sirius/XM.... Hmm.... I'll keep dreaming.

DirecTV 2 PC CE Test Version 4919

Check to see if your video card has HDCP built in to it. If it does not, then you will not be able to play back video.

Oh BTW, DBSTalk has v4919. It runs much faster than this v4902.

HR23-700 Only problem so far here is that DirecTV2PC no longer shows video after doing a 30 second skip. This problem only started happening with this new CE.

    HR23 W/New Order

I live in SoCal and I'm not sure what the company was. I know they used to be called Mountain Satellite but it may have changed. It went pretty quick. I had a HR23 and a H20 installed which I had already prewired. I need to go through and check my signals on the 99 and 103 and figure out why...

    HR23 W/New Order

I miss Call 4 Help and The Screensavers. It was good entertainment for us computer nerds. :( Oh, BTW, I got a HR23 when I ordered through DirecTV. However, it's dependent on what the HSP has in stock.

    New DirecTV Customer

So, I had my HR23 and H21 installed today so I am no longer a Dish customer. I am enjoying the receivers so far. It would be nice to have DVR capability in the second room without paying the extra receiver fee but we all have to make sacrifices. I got a better deal with the $23 off for 12 months...

    Video - 922 Demonstration

Also, when are they going to add ATSC out to TV2, or, I would even prefer to have a 211 or any other HD receiver in the other room that streams video from my main DVR via network or some other means.

    Video - 922 Demonstration

I would really hate to use that touch pad. Give me my keys so I can change channels quickly. If they want to implement a pointer then they should either use accelerometer technology which is rather cheap or an eraser head style nub that you can use with your thumb.

722K - you had me at hello

10 days old but I just wanted to give my opinion. I think that they should just use the existing 211's and turn them in to players and just link the 612's, 622, and 722's via ethernet network. That seems to be the most cost effective and wouldn't cause a loss of quality nor would it spill any...

Windows 7 Will Take Less Memory More Efficient

But the problem with having an older OS is MS will be discontinuing support. Why not make an OS that is modular and just sell add-on packs and upgrade packs. I understand they are trying to change how we do computing, but, this is getting ridiculous with all these eye candy GUI's. I shouldn't...
