New DirecTV Customer

So, I had my HR23 and H21 installed today so I am no longer a Dish customer. I am enjoying the receivers so far. It would be nice to have DVR capability in the second room without paying the extra receiver fee but we all have to make sacrifices. I got a better deal with the $23 off for 12 months and a free year of Showtime with HBO and Starz free for 3 months and who can complain about a free HD DVR? I'll have to check out the CE stuff and I am really curious about the PC software to view DirecTV on it.

Direct2PC is available w/o using the CE program btw... SD dvr payback is fine on many PC's its the HD playback that can get taxing.

I tried the down load my direct2pc software and it wanted a serial number were do I find that
? I have the HR23

Did you run the software that inspects your system to determine if you have enough power to actually and system resources run Direc2PC? Once you do that then I believe you get the serial number.
