    HR20-700 / Sep. 7 & 8 / {CE:09:03} 0x197

I encountered an issue last night. When I went into the Signal Strength screen to check 103(b) I got a message that this would interrupt a recording when nothing was being recorded. I selected No do not interrupt which took me back to the channel that was previously on. After that I could not...

Scott's DirecTV Review (DirecTV -VS- Dish)

Thanks for the review Scott. I would appreciate it if you could tell me how you were able to dim the LEDs on the front panel. I can't seem to find it in the setup menu. I find the LEDs are way too bright. They do make for a great night light though.

NFL Network to show Thur/Sat Games

My question is: Will D* show these in HD? Sucks if they don't.

    H20 Crashing/Rebooting

I know I'm reaching for straws here. Is it possible The station's PSIP info is playing havoc with the H20? It happened to me a long time ago with a Dish 6000 receiver. Greg

2006 NFL Sunday Ticket Games in HD: Mpeg2 or 4?

That sounds like excellent advice. On another note: Can one still subscribe only to Sunday Ticket? I know in the past you could. That's another option I guess. Comcast and D* just for ST. Although an expensive option.

2006 NFL Sunday Ticket Games in HD: Mpeg2 or 4?

Thanks for the replies. I guess as long as we know by summer I'll be OK. Since I live in the Chicago area and upgrading to the new dish will require me to change to a pole mount. D* wont upgrade me until warmer weather anyway.

2006 NFL Sunday Ticket Games in HD: Mpeg2 or 4?

Does anyone have any idea yet how D* will transmit the HD games next season? If they remain in the Mpeg2 format I think I'm going to take a pass on "upgrading" to Mpeg4. Let me start out by saying that NFLST is the ONLY reason that I am a D* customer and I can think of far more reasons not to...

Class Action Lawsuit For 811 Owners!

The 811 is the straw that broke the camel's back for me. I just moved and thought it would be a great time to switch to D*. I ordered an 811 on Dec. 5th (debit card was charged before I got off the phone wit the CSR) and didn't get installed until early February. That alone left a very bad...

Has anyone's 811 installation been rescheduled lately?

My 4th install appointment was scheduled for today. The key word there is was. I called last night to confirm and was told that I am now scheduled for Feb. 11. Kudos to E*. I can't think of a better way to increase cash flow in these trying times for business. Offer a great promotion, charge...

Dish customer service - worst I have seen it.

I am in the same boat as others here. I have had 3 installs cancelled. The first 2, my receiver was on the installers truck but he was running too late to do my difficult install. The third was cancelled due to lack of product. And of course my CC was charged immediately the day I ordered...

    DISH Replacing my 811--Already?

I find it kind of interesting the receiver is locking up with the UHF remote. I remember my first receiver (model 1000) back in 1996 would lock up a lot if you had the remote antenna screwed directly into the receiver. The fix was to put a 4 to 6 foot piece of coax between the antenna and the...

FLASH: Dish 811 now $199 for Existing Customers!

I have a few of questions about this promotion I hope someone can answer. How does the billing work? Do they charge you immediately or is the 199 put on your next bill? Can you waive the credit card autopay and pay 24.95 for shipping and handling? Are we limited to one receiver on this...
