Same thing happened to me and i found out if i set the recording to start on time and not the normal 1 minute early then it works every time. I called to complain and they didn't have any good explanation.

You might try not starting the recording early. Last season i recorded the wizards games and had the same issue on the HD RSN for my area. I found out that if i started the recording on time instead of 1 minute early everything was good. Otherwise i would have 3 hrs of the screen saying come...

Make sure they actually take off the DVR fee. I have been calling back in every month to get the Credit. Sometimes they say that i have to pay the fee and then i talk to the manager who agrees it should be removed and they will "fix" it.

I have the same issue with my RSN CSNMA. I now do a manual timer for a couple of minutes late. I will have to try the 0 minute thing. I called tech support and reported it. They say that they would look into it, but i doubt they are fixing anything.
