    MLB - Extra Innings

I had this happen last year. I only have Directv service during baseball season. Everyone from tech support kept saying it was a well known problem and they were working on it. Every time I called and talked to somebody different, we went through the typical ways to reset it. Was pretty...

Sudden satellite loss on the 722 now????

My 322 (I think) has been doing the same thing (minus the OTA issues). I was ready to cancel my service, since I have Directv on one tv for MLB Extra Innings. I figured if I was going to have to get a technician to come out, I might as well just add another receiver and get the service call...

Can a directv dual dvr control 2 tv's?

The tech must have hooked up your 2-room dvr incorrectly then. You should have been able to control both feeds separately. I have no problem with recording on one tv and recording, changing channels, etc. on the other tv at the same time.

Can a directv dual dvr control 2 tv's?

I currently have a dual-tuner Dish Network dvr placed at TV1 and connected to TV1 and with 2nd output to TV2. I also have a Directv standard def dvr at TV1. Could I do something similar to what you mentioned and be able to watch the Directv dvr on TV2? I am guessing on how to do this --- take...

MLB EI -- Anyone having problems?

Finally!!! My problem is finally fixed!!! I was correct all along in thinking it was a billing / account issue. I wasn't billed properly for EI. When I pointed this out to customer service, they said that the EI that was showing on my account (and confirmed by 5 reps on the phone and minimum...

    The "101" No Longer Authorized?

Good luck dealing with them. If you read my thread on MLB Extra Innings below this, you will see that I have been dealing with MANY customer reps on the phone and almost daily e-mails. They all keep trying to resend the info and wanting me to reset the dvr (over and over). I have had...

MLB EI -- Anyone having problems?

I'm still at work, so I haven't called retention yet. (I want to be there to make sure they don't try to tell me the problem is fixed when it isn't) I am finally able to view my billing statement. I temporarily signed up for the paperless billing just so I could view it online to see if...

MLB EI -- Anyone having problems?

I haven't gotten a chance to call and speak to retention yet. I plan to do that this evening. Thanks for letting me know how to get them and also giving my some bit of encouragement that they might be able to help. At least that way I won't go into the conversation feeling like there's no...

MLB EI -- Anyone having problems?

Just got back into town and checked to see if EI was working yet. Nope. I did get a message and e-mail from them explaining blackouts and saying I wasn't specific about which teams I couldn't get. I guess when I said "all games / every team" wasn't specific enough for them. I guess I will...

MLB EI -- Anyone having problems?

I used the term "re-authorize" to the last person I spoke with probably at least 5 times. I kept mentioning how your problem sounded very similar and that was how your issues were resolved. They argued with me that what they did was the same thing as re-authorizing. I have a feeling that it...

MLB EI -- Anyone having problems?

Just got off the phone with 2 different people. No luck again. Of course they both wanted to resend the info and have me reset the dvr. I finally told the 2nd person that the red button was probably worn out by now, so they were extra-innovative and had me unplug the dvr and plug it back in...

MLB EI -- Anyone having problems?

Pretty much the only thing they did was send a signal to my dvr and have me reset it. They did this a couple times. I guess each person I spoke with didn't think the other person did it correctly. When I call this evening I will have them try to re-authorize the account and/or removing the...

MLB EI -- Anyone having problems?

Is anybody having problems with MLB Extra Innings? Mine worked fine until today. At first I couldn't get any of the channels --- said I wasn't subscribed (have previous confirmation of renewal from last year). After a couple resets, I could get some of the channels fine but still received an...

Please stop me from going to Dicectv

I added D* last April to get MLB EI. After reading about all of the dvr issues, I decided to also keep E*. I'm so glad I did!!! I only have standard def dvrs, so I can't help you on the hd dvr comparisons, but the D* standard dvr is absolutely horrible --- not just it's unreliable behavior...

    Fed up with billing issues

I HAVE to have some type of MLB EI service because of baseball. Because of the many billing issues I've had and the terrible (in my opinion) user interface of the standard def dvr, I only keep my D account active during baseball season. It's either that or pay the cancellation fee and get it...

    Fed up with billing issues

I went through a crazy amount of billing issues last year when I signed up for D. I had Dish but needed an additional option when MLB EI was taken off Dish. I had read about how terrible the standard def. dvrs for D were, so I decided to get D for baseball season and then suspend the account...

    Brad Lidge Demoted... yikes?

The playoff homerun he gave up to Pujols was not in 2004. It was 2005, and they won the next game to make it to the World Series. | think they already determined to have him on a short leash this year. They waited too long last year before temporarily demoting him. Nolan Ryan worked with...

    Dish Network Statement on MLB

How much did E* pay for EI in the past? I'm guessing it was more than what their share of the $100M/yr split would be. If they don't get the package, are they going to pass on the "discount" to customers, since they will no longer be paying for EI as they did in the past? No.

Question about wiring 2 dvrs to same tvs

Yes, I am planning on 2 total dual tuner receivers for 2 tvs. Would I need to use 2 different remotes at each tv? Would that be easier rather than programming the inputs on one remote (if even possible with 2 satellite receivers)? Whether I do this or not will all depend on MLB EI. I...

Question about wiring 2 dvrs to same tvs

Is it possible to use 2 dual tuner dvrs and also be able to watch either one of them on both tvs? If so, how would this be wired? Would it be easier to place both receivers in one room or place one at each tv? My tvs aren't brand new, so I'm not sure how many/what type of inputs they have...

INDEMAND will carry MLB EI? No so fast says MLB... How about E*?

from bizofbaseball.com : John Ourand and Eric Fisher of the Sports Business Journal report today on the Sports Business Daily that, "EchoStar's Dish Network appears much closer than cable's InDemand to striking a deal with MLB to carry Extra Innings and the planned MLB Channel, marking a...

INDEMAND will carry MLB EI? No so fast says MLB... How about E*?

I heard on the mlb channel on xm that it has been reported that Dish is closer to making a deal. I don't recall the source they said the info came from. It didn't give any details, either, so I don't know if it really means anything.

Bob DuPuy of MLB stated that the newest InDemand offer "falls short". --- NEW YORK -- Baseball's "Extra Innings" package of out-of-market games might not wind up staying on cable television, after all. IN Demand said Wednesday it will offer to match the terms of DirecTV's $700 million...

INDEMAND will carry MLB EI? No so fast says MLB... How about E*?

Isn't the deadline for cable companies to provide an all digital signal Feb. 2009? If so, then they would be okay, since the baseball channel won't start until 2009.
