What type signal readings is anyone in Bham getting off this satellite?

I still saw some pixilation last night during Criminal Minds. I don't think it is back to how it used to be yet.

Come Feb. 2009 when ota goes all digital will the markets that still don't have HD locals be getting them? How does Dish get local channels to subscribers now anyways? Do they pick them up with antennas and then send the feed to the satellite through an uplink center? If in Feb., all they can...

I'm not so sure I agree with you. The picture to me overall does not look as good as it used to. There is still some pixilation problems.

The only problem with getting 119 and 129 is you aren't going to get ESPN HD because it is only on 110. That's what I was wanting to do, but sounds like I am going to have to get a Dish 1000.2.

Can you use a Dish 500 to pick up 119 and 129 satellite only, instead of 110 and 119?

I have been trying to figure out why WAAY isn't available ever since they launched HSV and I still don't have an answer. If they carry the SD channel of it, then why would it be a problem to carry the HD? I don't understand at all.

That's the million dollar question...There has to be someone that knows what's going on, but I can't seem to figure out who to contact for info. Have you tried the station engineer at WAAY?

I can't get a response from anyone at WAAY or Dish about it either. Something legal and not technical it sounds like.

I'm still not understanding where you are getting "spot 19" from?? From this map: http://ekb.dbstalk.com/e12spots.pdf I do not see how memphis, bhm, hsv, and nashville could all be on the same beam??? I'm just really confused here.
