Just another idea, have you unplugged every thing (power, sat feed coming in) and let it set a few minutes. Maybe this will reset the receiver. Maybe not completely tuned in for a strong signal from the sat. Any other receivers to test with?

What type receiver and dish are you using? Do you have a strong signal on all satellites? Did you do the setup on dish type as to what you installed? (3lnb or 5lnb) Is this a DVR with 2 lines coming in?

You must have gotten the new software release (x0120 I think) went national yesterday. So your guide for 2 weeks should be updated by now as it takes about 24 hours to build. It seams to build faster if you leave receiver in stanby mode :)

You can build a wood frame out of 1x4 (be sure and put some supports in the back) and get some blackout cloth from your local fabric store. Works great. Make your screen as big as you can using the 16x9 format. Use an HD signal and you will be very pleased.

I will just activate my old receiver, get a new upgrade one, wait a couple months deactivate, and wait on the new HD-DVR to replace my tivo HD-DVR and at that time get the new dish. Maybe the slim 5 lnb will be out. Can directvrep reply to some of the questions that have been posted in this...
