How many are getting EI since it includes MLB.tv?

It seems that the linking will occur with the start of the season. In reality it makes sense on several levels. Several years ago, Roku did not have spring training games. I would guess that next year, in year 2 of the new system, spring training will be included. Just my WAG on that. The March...

    HD Locals

I live Rochester, NY and know from the recent press release I lost out on having HD locals off of D10. Why does my bill have HD locals listed though? Starz HD $0.00 / included w/Starz service Sports HD $0.00 / included w/Sports service HR20 New Service $0.00 / _HR20 Cinemax HD...

    What we are hearing...

I do not know when it will happen, but LIL in Rochester, NY is all set to go. D* has even iniaited and completed the billing which is the last thing to do. It could be they are officious for D11 or we are one of the mkts to go live in the next two weeks.

    Msghd?

BTW....In the consent agreement, Comcast Philly was given special status. It is no longer dependent on regs as long as it is terrestrial. You can thank a famous PA senator for putting pressure on the FCC to include this nugget:(

    Msghd?

I cannot imagine Buffalo's MSG HD is terrestrial, but I cannot say for sure. Also, during the consent agreement, I thought the loop hole was closed. Lastly, no way Directv would continue to use the MSG HD logo without a contract or obligation by MSG to provide it.

    Msghd?

The answer cannot be no. Under law, the fact that MSG HD is made available to other cable companies means that it cannot be withheld from Directv. Remember under the merger of Adelphia with Comcast and Time Warner, Comcast Philadelphia was given special status. All other regional sports...

    What we are hearing...

I had a chance to talk to corporate office and ask the status of Wednesday launch and if my two favorites are on it. The other RSNs are on the list that has been previously discussed, but not NY:(

    What we are hearing...

No MSG or FOXNY on the list for Wednesday. I am very sad. As a matter of fact no launch date on the internal computer at Directv at all. Still open.

103°B Am i screwd? / Directv New HD Stuff

I do not know who to believe. I too am in the 50's on 103b, but 90's on the other sats including MPEG 4 on the 99. According to my installer, Directv told him not to do any tweaking in my market. They say sat isn't hot for my mkt. Any experts feel free to weigh in.

    OTA games on MLB EI

fiber to the rebroadcast center still fits, but I do not know for sure. Fiber for cox, rogers and so forth took awhile this season. Maybe more is coming.

    D* Screws up again!!

After talking with corporate headquarters, the problem is fixed. Rochester once again has Cleveland Indians on EI!:)

    D* Screws up again!!

I spent too much time figuring out the issue, but here it is... The issue has really nothing to do with STO per se. The Indians have a claim to the Buffalo DMA, but areas outside of that fall under the MLB. My issue which I will contact Directv tomorrow in California is the use of the wrong...

    D* Screws up again!!

I am not in Cleveland territory one way or another. I also have EI. Why am I blacked out? I am only blacked out on STO telecasts. I can watch Cleveland on any other RSN on EI!

    D* Screws up again!!

The STO nightmare lives on. Directv has loaded into its database zipcodes in the Rochester, NY area as STO outer ring. This is a mistake and has cost us in Rochester with 145 and 144 zip codes to be blacked out on EI. Advanced tech support admits the mistake, but so far the powers to be seem to...
