    Help Guys - Future ex-comcaster

Haha, used a small word like douche so someone with your limited intelligence could 'possibly' comprehend. I don't even have to guess what age group you are in. Later Beavis....or is Butthead your favorite?

    Help Guys - Future ex-comcaster

Hmmm, never complained about Voom or anything else, just was reading back then. Browsed some of your topics on here last night and laughed at all the ranting going on still today. Guess I'm a minority, but you definitely fit into that stereotype, lol. What a douche...

    Help Guys - Future ex-comcaster

They were not Dish questions, they were DBS questions in general. This thread has been active for over 15 hours. I posted over at Avs and got an intelligent response within 15 minutes so spare me the stomping....no wonder I have not posted over here in 3 years...same kind of ranting and...

    Help Guys - Future ex-comcaster

Hi guys, I left the dish scene back in the Voom days and have been with Comcast ever since here in Colo Springs. I've been playing the waiting game with technology over the years and have enjoyed Comcast's offerings up until now :-(. I've definitely noticed picture quality go down in the last...

    comcast no Mlb extra innings

Take this from a current Comcast customer, tell them to run like hell and don't look back

    Are multiple 622s possible?

The 211 would be enough if I had the 622-1 500gb model...but the CSRs don't have a clue about the new model or any eta. Another thing that I've gotten used to with my Motos though is the working firewire port and additional capabilities of using it with my Mac G5 recorder. I hear all Dish...

    Are multiple 622s possible?

Hi guys, haven't posted on here since I was a Voomer couple of years back. Since it's demise I've been with Adelphia with a Moxi box and lately with the Comcast takeover, I'm getting more and more sick of the situation. Paying "top grid" fees just to be able to watch all HD tier channels is...

Just got my Moto HD-DVR "9012" MOXI

Hmmm, my box works perfect...of course I don't watch analog here in the Springs...just 701-up. I use component inputs, and the DVI will be enabled as soon as they get the HDCP stuff worked out with a future firmware update I hear...no biggie for me. I don't get pixelation drops or audio...

Just got my Moto HD-DVR "9012" MOXI

Moxi is the current Motorola HD-DVR receiver that most of the cable companies are using today. I just got mine installed yesterday as well. 1 Moxi and 1 regular HD receiver for the other room. Free install, leasing everything and 2 more HD channels than the two stingy satellite pigs :-)

Directv $200 Rebate for Voom Customers

If the voom discount was $200- for each receiver you needed, I might jump. Multiple HD sets in a house, you tend to want to lease. Adelphia is coming out in a couple of days...my only choice at this time.
  13. shadow_keeper

    Sure Baby, I"ll Change

So you like the downgrade of service? I'm still depressed because I'm forced to downgrade and go with Adelphia. They are my only choice at this time, since both of the big boys have nothing really to offer me. I'll never buy equipment though, so DTV will never be a choice for me unless they...

I agree...more SD channels, yippie

Can I get Distant Network HD or Not?

Ok...what if you do not have a main city (with their own stations) for at least 150 miles around you, but the satellite companies "force" another city/state of locals on you. You live over 150 miles from this new city they say you qualify for. Can you get HD distant nets since you don't live...

What Channels Would You Like To See Added To Voom's Present Lineup?

HD National feeds of networks Outdoor Channel 2 HD (July 05) TCM HD (Turner Classics coming very soon) West coast HD feeds of TMC and Encore Hustler HD
  17. shadow_keeper

    Voom to Offer HD-LIL?

LIL would be a waste of space, but NOT the national feeds. All Sat providers should be required to carry at least those and I hope Voom does.
  18. shadow_keeper

So now that voOm looks like its going to survive what does it need to change?

National HD feeds of the networks need to be put up for all users who can't pick them up ota.
  19. shadow_keeper

Out of this world? (Sci-fi coming to VOOM on Saturday 9/4/04!?)

Will SCI-FI be an HD channel or is this just another useless SD addition ?

How to get Olympics (or any other distant feed)

No...you already done it in advance. When I called Voom a couple of nights ago, I said something to this extent: "Hi, I bought another place out in my state a couple of months ago but I still have my older address to and is where my bills still come. I didn't even think about changing my...

How to get Olympics (or any other distant feed)

Geez, just got tired of people complaining about not getting the channels. It's NOT stealing! You are covering your address so you can BUY/PURCHASE the networks from your provider.
  22. shadow_keeper

How to get Olympics (or any other distant feed)

As far as the "Move" service call goes. You DON"T do it. Remember, you already moved into the other place and there was a dish network setup at the house pointed at 61.5. You simply plugged your receivers in and it works. No service call needed. I phoned my change of account in last night...

How to get Olympics (or any other distant feed)

No it's not fraud. You're just setting yourself up to be able to "BUY" channels. I did for over 5 years with Dish. As far as service calls go, the installer will always call you at home to setup and appointment time. Then you tell them your real address. Most installers already know this...

How to get Olympics (or any other distant feed)

This will work for the olympics for anyone, and also works for getting distant locals of your choice from other sat companies. I've done it for over 5 years and actually was told (or suggested) to do it by a CSR on phone from Dish:-) 1) Pull up a zipcode map of your state 2) Find a zipcode...

would you like local channels by satellite on Voom?

LOL, most of the people voting that network locals are a waste of space are mostly likely the same people that are getting them OTA. A LOT of people in the mountain areas can not get locals. Adding the most popular national east/west feeds is the answer, and is NOT a waste of space. I...
