I had a similar problem but I couldnt set the box to 720P. 1080i worked. I got the updated and the next morning everything was fine.

I watched the game last night and it seemed that the game was and wasn't in HD. The closeups look great but when the camera showed a full court view it wasn't as clear as I expected. The picture seemed soft and grainy.

My Voom was installed on Monday and the installer said that the line was only to order PPV. Everything that I've read here and on avsforum.com suggests otherwise. Neither one of my boxes is connected but I guess I better plug my line in to be on the safe side.

I called my cable provider to find out if the fight will be in HD and I was told that it wouldn't. I'm going to hate having people watch the fight on my TV in SD. Maybe I'll let them watch something on Voom before the fight that way they will see the wonders of HD.

Thanks for the tip. Do you know if there is a way to keep some channels from being shown with black bars on the side on a SD TV? One of my TVs is a 30 inch SD set and some local channels appear with sidebars. I don't need the picture to be any smaller on a 30 inch.
