thanks for all the help here, I did a search and found oct 7 game on channel 694 or 692. which I set to record. Trouble is, when I went to these channels to see what is on these today, I got a message saying I wasn't subscribed to either one of these channels. weird.

HD looks good In the first reply, the Sabres' home games are mostly in HD, viewed in the buffalo area (I'm just outside of erie, pa). As far as my dvr, I get an excellent HD picture on it.
