    Cut the Cord

I checked aggregator programs. Some have fees. None compare to the function of the Dish EPG

    Cut the Cord

My guide issue is that no single service has all the channels we want and so each service has its guide but there is no common guide across them. That is one advantage of Dish as the EPG does. At the moment I am considering Fubo or YouTube TV plus another service or two to fill in. Hulu gets...

    Cut the Cord

No Guide, yes, that will be a sore loss, the lack of a common guide across all the channels. But most of the internet services offer DVR functions.

    Cut the Cord

I am investigating because for the first time since 2005, I have gotten go the end of a two year contract because I upgraded before the end of each of the previous ones. I see no equipment upgrades as I have a Hopper 3 and 4K Joey's. So the impact of the full subscription and the hardware fees...

    Dish support for RV

As an RVer you should learn how to aim a dish on you own with a few tools.

OK this better get my Dish signal....

I used a 1000.2 dish modified with screw elevation modification, and some other mods, from TV4RV.com that was almost as east to aim as a 1000.4 and a bit smaller for storage

Pathway X2--how long of a cable can you use and still have it be effective? and how does the length of cable effect the signal?

The length of the cable affects the signal and the power to the X2. Yo might do 200' with a tripod but the X2 power loss would be past its limit

    Another RV Dish Choice

In our 40' Travel Supreme 5th-wheel we had 2 TVs and our motorhome had 3 TVs. We were full-time and move the Hopper 3 and the Joey's between the two rigs. Both RVs had Windgard Trav'ler roof dishes and we carried a ground tripod with EA and WA heads. We used the existing coax for the Joeys...

    Another RV Dish Choice

No indication of the LNBF head of the Dish model can be changed and the EA used. With a Super Buddy meter, setup is minutes. We often used the ground tripod for the EA than for trees when the Winegard Trav'ler didn't work. If I was purchasing a new RV and if the LNBF is changeable, I would...

    Another RV Dish Choice

Interesting. For our ground tripod, we used a TV4RV.com modified surveyors tripod and we use two 5 gallon water buckets about half full to hold the tripod down. Never had a tipover. Looks like the automated head could be placed on any tripod. But with the auto-adjust for Axzmunth, Elevation...

    Just curious, is “moving” legal?

The issue is between Dish and the Broadcasters and their local stations. Dishes promises to only deliver Locals and the associated advertising to people within the spot DMA to get the permission to rebroadcast the signals. Without such agreement, everyone would move to places not at home and...

Here's something more current: "Dish is begging authorities for help with T-Mobile’s CDMA shutdown looming"

Too bad many can't remember when the sack phones were discontinued and that included the first few years of OnStar cars. Tech turns happen and expecting 3.5" floppies still to be use is unreasonable.

    Hopper 3/DPH42 & Trav'ler Setup??

I had my Hopper behind the bedroom GV and it was about 1-1/2" too deep. I put blocks under the back of the Hopper and the tilt allowed the door to close. I also used 90 degree HDMI adapters to reduce cable clearance needs.

    Hopper 3/DPH42 & Trav'ler Setup??

You need three cables from the dish so the three LNB signals can be mixed for input to the Hopper 3.vOrder is not critical but keeping 1 to 1, 2 to 2, and 3 to 3 makes trouble shooting easier. At the base of the Travelers is marked A, B, C.
