Sounds like you have another issue if the signal is randomly dropping on a clear day. I live in Raleigh, if you were closer I would offer to take a look. Just call dish, add the DHPP if you don't already have it.

They are terrible. I had a customer in Durham who I had replaced her 222 3 times in 2 weeks before I told her flat out to call Dish and insist on either a 211 or a 722. She got them to build the work order and I replaced her with a 211 the same day.

You're in ohio, so your trees probably don't have leaves this time of year right? If this just started happening it's very likely the alignment of the dish. Your best bet is to call Dish to schedule a service, or you can try to realign it yourself.

So you already have a dish in the back of the house, and it's grounded? What do you plan on using for switches and LNB's? If you put up a Dish500/300 with a DPDual for 61.5 out front and run a single coax with 17awg messenger from that to your existing Dish with a DPP Twin LNB you will be fine.

If you want to drill new holes to rig it up, you can put a standard 500+ LNB on a SuperDish, but to do it right you need a repoint kit.

If you can see 119 you can see 118 with the same dish. You may not be able to get 110 on that dish depending on your trees. As for the polarity, I don't know that answer but I do know that I have seen more than a few PLUS dishes picking up 121 when they were supposed to be pointed at 118...

The power inserter is for the switch. You use only ONE power inserter and it connects to port ONE of the switch. The rest of the receivers connect directly to the switch. Legacy receivers do not require a DP adaptor either.

Do you intend to get another DISH account at the new house? If so, why not just do a Dish Mover?

If you want 110/119 the limit with that setup is 4 receivers. If for some reason you only wanted one satellite (doubtful) you could take the second output of the DP Twin and feed a 5th receiver, which would get both sats while the other 4 would only get one.
