i miss voom! My wife actually misses it too. she really enjoyed the Voom exclusives like Gallery. i haven't the heart to go back to cable (SD really sucks), and dish seems to be holding back on Voom. i check up on this forum to see if anyone has found something better, but nothing yet...

i actually stopped work on my home theater when i got Voom. now i have all this time to work on it again. it will give me time while i wait for mpeg 4 to settle out. i guess we'll have a cheap 1080p display by then too ;)

looks like a lot of us are watching cartoon network :) i noticed the blocking earlier also. i hope it's resolved by the time fullmetal alchemy and GiTS:SAC is on now that my wife has taken the remote, HGTV looks pretty good for SD. color, sharpness.

i'm actually waiting for the PVR to come out so i can pass the current box off to my wife. You're right, SD on my projector (109" diagonal) is a terrible thing to waste.

hmm. can voom deliver adult swim from CN in HD? specifically shows like "Ghost in the Shell", and "Cowboy Bebop"?

same problem on the south coast of oregon. especially since it rains continuously from november until march.

I'm on the south coast of Oregon, and the rain fade is pretty extensive. i usually get signal strength of 92 on a clear day, but the rainy season has started early, and the rain fade is bad. the signal strength is down in the 50's. if it continues, and we don't get a new dish or larger dish...

sell it, and get your self a front projector. bigger picture, less space for less money

i agree with you guys. the problem is compounded for those of us with large front projectors, those icons magnified. and for OTA, there is the local channel logo's

is this a voom box issue? i noticed it with the swimming, expecially when there was alot of splashing. i'll hook up my MyHD card up again to see any differences. no mention at avsforum either

fp's can be 1/2 to 1/4 the price of a plasma. and all you need is a flat wall. takes up much less space than a RP. my projector/diy screen set up cost much less than the cheapest plasma for better pq and size. of course those damn mosquitoes are much more visible due to the larger viewing...
