Another annoyance with the lost names under the tiles... When on the "manage recordings" screen. As you select items, they are darkened and the checkmark is added. Without the names underneath is almost see or double check what items are selected.

Well, once you select an item, the name appears on the right side. It's still a pain though.

Yea, that's a good idea too, but crazy slow (assuming your offloading in real-time somehow). I suppose a few streaming services could replace a great deal of the HDD content (ex: HBO/Sho can be viewed VOD).

Yea, same problem on the HWS. Geez. Thing is, a high % of Hopper 1 & 2 users have more then 1 box (largely due to the tuner limit). I've kept my two HWS boxes because I'm sitting on about 300 Timers. Dropping to 200 timers is gonna be a bear.

Thanks. Sorry, I did see that this has been covered in a couple of other threads. Shoot, sure seems like it should be possible to Dish to add an option to not clear existing timers when restoring from a remote.

Any updates on this now that the Hopper 3 is out? What if you pair an old remote, restore timers, unpair, pair another remote and restore timers again? Does each restore wipe out the existing timers ? Thanks.

Oh that's good. Just seems like since they own the channel and are working the contract, they have some control over the terms (and I doubt they are very happy with commercial hopping).
