I was pissed when I couldn't get the Penguin game last night. In years past I could watch the pre-season, not sure why the rules changed.

In years past I was able to watch any game I wanted in the preseason.

Just wondering if anyone knows what the latest is on D* plans for VOD Broadband service and Broadband Video service. It is detailed in page 40, and page 58.

I don't understand when comaring HD offerings from a cable provider to D*, the only real channels missing are (Starz HD, Cinemax HD. MTV HD) D* provides locals in HD just like cable, RSNs in HD (in a few weeks) just like cable, and a number of national HD channels just like cable. (Voom...

How about just one new channel to throw us a bone.. Why would they have to wait. Put them up in MPEG4 now. Make people upgrade if they really want the new channels.. I would even say move the HD package to MPEG4 as soon as the new DVRs are ready.

I would like to see what that pays for. Do I get a person to come over and change the channels for me? But $7500 seems out of this world.

So for a package like this to be attractive to us junkies, what would you pay? I think my price point would work out to $200 per month or $2400 for the year. Maybe $225?

How about a hint at the price?

$500 just to lease the HD-Tivo. No way.. I don't even like the idea of spending that much to own it. Looks like cable is in my future.. The whole idea of leasing is that I do not own it. Then charge me a rental fee, I would pay 10-20 to rent a high-end box.. Even at 20 it would take 25...

What if I have an HD box that is not active.. Should I go get it activated so I can get the upgraded box..

I was told that the MSG channel should be blacked out due to some contract issue, but that I should be recieving the Devils game

gee they tell me that the games are blacked out.. GO figure.. Since these are local games on the local RSNs I don't understand..

Any updates on this.. They keep hanging up on me, and the old retention number is no longer active.. So I sit on hold yet again..
