Unfortunately that didn't clear up the issue. BTW I only have one X1 dvr in the house and that setting seems to be something to sync DVR recordings across multiple devices and I'm only watching on the DVR itself. Thanks for the tip though.

There was some talk that Comcast was going to offer cloud based storage for dvr recordings. Don't know if that ever happened or is going to happen.

I have noticed that on almost all of my recordings the CC's are out of sync with the video. There does not seem to be anyway to fix this other than to reboot the X1. Rebooting does clear up the issue but is a pita to do whenever you want to watch a recording. Has anybody run across this issue?

I will say this about unethical, I have a hopper and three joeys that could easily fit in one box and I could live with the $10, if they require me to use 4 separate boxes and charge me $40 then I think that's unethical

The Dish rep told me it was $10 per box (don't know if it was shipping box or tuner box) and since I had 4 boxes it would be $40. Hope she was wrong and it is only $10.

I couldn't figure out the proper hoops to jump through in order to send dish dvr recordings via the anywhere app to the sd storage card on the tablet. There isn't enough available space on the main storage area of my tablet where the app wanted to send them.

I did order Showtime through Dish online chat, $9 for 6 mos. It was very quick, about 15 minutes total, ten minute wait for an agent and 5 min to order.

Yeah IMO $19 a month is too much for HBO. I am currently contemplating paying $14 a month for Showtime because they have two series on right now that I like but probably won't.

I could have sworn I received an e-mail from Dish the other day offering premium channels like Showtime, HBO etc at half price for six months. Now I can't find the e-mail nor is there any info on the Dish website. Did I just imagine this or did I miss the window for ordering?

I don't mean to bash Dish but I was with Direct for the two years preceding switching to Dish in Jan of this year and it was far superior in delivering CC. I just don't understand that as the same technology should be available to both services.
