    Dish dispute with KFJX Joplin

They either got an extension or someone ran the notification by mistake. I'm sure of what it said because I rewound it and looked at it again. But I only saw it once which is unusual.

    Diplexer with Wally

I used a good quality AB switch in my mobile home to do the very thing you are wanting to do. I did this with a VIP722K and it worked fine. I don't see why it wouldn't work with a Wally.

    Dish dispute with KFJX Joplin

Friday the contract for the sister CBS station (KOAM) expires and it looks like will be off Dish.

    National PBS Gone

It would have been nice if they would have told us it was going away. I found out when my timers stopped working. I checked my last bill, it was still showing I was being charged for it, but when the autopay occurred it was less than the bill. See what the next bill says.

    Hopper 3 and Dish Anywhere

I have a VIP722K with a Sling Adapter. I understand how this works, the Sling Adapter uses tuner 2 in the 722. If a timer starts a recording on tuner 2 or someone at the house is using tuner 2 to watch live tv you lose control with DA. Since the Hopper 3 has 16 tuners and built in Sling is it...

    211 series receivers

I believe the 211 has two OTA tuners so that provides some additional options if you can receive OTA stations.

    211 series receivers

Keep in mind the VIP 211K only has one tuner. So when it is recording a program you can watch what is being recorded or a pre-recorded program. You can't watch a live program while recording a different live program.

    VIP 211 DVR activation fee

    Thanks for the info.

    VIP 211 DVR activation fee

I understand I can add an EHD to my VIP 211 and with a onetime activation fee of $50 give it DVR capabilities. If I read right this onetime fee is good of all 211's in my house. Question, if I add a Wally to the mix would it be covered by the onetime activation fee or would I need an additional...

    Wally Questions

I have a sling adapter on my current 722K. Don't suppose that would work on a Wally?

    Wally Questions

Thanks for the response. I am eventually going to an H3 system and was planning on a couple of 211s for backup to the H3 and for use in our camper. Got to thinking about the Wallys and thought that might be better than the 211s.

    Wally Questions

I have some questions about the Wall. 1) Does the Wally have the same UI as the Hopper 3? 2) Can I connect a Wally where I currently have a VIP 211K installed? 3) Will Dish allow two Wallys on the same account with a Hopper 3? 4) The Dish website indicates that the Wally supports...

    Thanks much.

    DPH42 now available

I saw the attachment, that is what generated the question. I guess I'm basically asking will the solo hub pass through the power if the inserter is installed on the Hopper side.

    DPH42 now available

This is what I was thinking. But have one question, can the power inserter for the DPH42 be installed between the solo hub and the Hopper 3 or does it have to be between the DPH42 and the solo hub as shown here?
  17. W

    DPH42 now available

Understand, the regular outputs would just be for the 211s. A power inserter would be needed one the 211 cable on port 1 on the DPP44 to power that switch and another power inserter on the coax from the Hopper 3 to power the DPH42.

    DPH42 now available

Thanks for the response JSheridan. That seemed reasonable to me but I didn't know if the DPH42 had to be connected to the LNB.

    DPH42 now available

The installation guide implies that VIP receivers could be in the mix but I didn't see how they connected. If you wanted two VIP 211Ks connected along with a Hopper 3 and a Joey how would they connect? Could you gang the DPH42 off of a DPP44 and connect the VIP 211ks to the DPP44 or is it...

Little help - Hopper, SJ and 2ea WJ Motorhome Install

I'm not familiar with the Winegard Trav'ler, but you might want to check it to see if it has three coax connectors. If not it won't work with the super joey. The dish I have on my motorhome is same as a Dish 1000.2 but it only has two coax connectors.

    Triplexer/diplexer/OTA question

If I'm understanding your situation correctly your HBO box is a cable box. If that is correct a diplexer won't work. Both the HBO feed and your OTA are using the same freq. range. That is why the one connected to the TV port works and the Sat port doesn't. What I would try is to disconnect...

    Dish 500 with VIP-211K receiver ?

I didn't talk to the caller it was on the answering machine. What I understood of the message was the 508 could quit working as early as April 1. I did the current install so I'm swapping out the 508 for a purchased 211k myself. Bob

    Dish 500 with VIP-211K receiver ?

May 31 was what I was told via letter, e-mail, and several calls. They really want me to get it done. A couple of days ago I got a call that said it could be as soon as April 1. I ordered a 211K today to replace my 508. Bob

    VIP 211K Question

I'm confused about the descriptions for the 211K on some web sites, The descriptions indicate that to receive OTA channels an adapter is needed. Pictures of the back of a 211K appears that the OTA tuner is built in. Does the 211K require an OTA adapter or not? If an adapter is required is it...
