smb, I had a similar situation last week. I checked my sat signal strength and discovered the tuner 1 wasn't receiving a signal, but tuner 2 was fine. I did reset of the receiver from the menu and everything was fine: both tuners receiving signals with the DVR working properly since the reset...

Just checked and found no HD locals in the Champaign area. Hopefully, we'll get them later this week.

A couple of weeks ago my dad's 411 receiver wouldn't produce a picture or accquire the satellite without a manual re-boot of the receiver 50% plus of the times he turned on the system. We notified Dish of the problem and they sent a replacement receiver. We activated the new receiver Tuesday...

Jimbo, I have a HR20-700 receiver and have the same blank screen on 498 and confirmed B-band messages on 480 and 481. Also, my channel guide filters are no longer available on this receiver. My H20 receivers are fine. Like Sharpie, I hope my some miracle we get the Big 10 Network in HD today...

iwc, Thanks again, resetting the receiver fixed the problem. I've been away from sat TV for almost a year and a half (had E* for almost 4 years before that) and forgot the first step in addressing any sat/receiver problems: the reset button!

I'm getting goose eggs signal strength-wise on tuner 2, I'll try switching the lines and see what happens. Thanks again.

Thanks for the suggestion. I do have two inputs, the installer ran a second line for the DVR. I'll give your suggestions a try.
