The 510 is a great unit. If you get any of the conditions mentioned above, get another one as these are bad boxes. You should have trouble free viewing and recording. Best addition we've made to our system.

I'm a little surprised you guys like the PQ at 480p thru component (or DVI) better than 480i thru S-Video with the 811, especially on Hitachi's. Prior to this thread it was considered ideal to let the TV do its thing with stretch modes and upconversion.

Seems to be unanimous. I like to watch SD with my 510, and use the 811 exclusively for HD content. (Of which I'm asking for more...soon, please, pretty please).

I think E* is going to attempt to match D* with LIL HD. Doesn't help us yokels any. Never mind there are millions of us, just not crammed into the same 100 square miles.
