Dish sent a tech out to check the sat dish to make sure it was aimed correctly. The guy said it was & left. Since then I've had 3 of these sound with dark screen. Two self reset & the other was just 10 minutes before last Saturday's broadcast of PE2.

Had to push red reset to re-boot Dish to fix the issue. Missed the first few minutes but recorded the re-run in full @ 12AM EST. The audio was bad through our surround system so when to basic TV sound which clarity was better.

Very true! I had previously set ch 135 HD to recorder the series then I heard of 4k being available. I set cg 540 to record as well but noticed ch 135 is now marked skip over.

Being it was recorded on Dish, I'm guessing Dish would detect your HD set & just might downgrade the rez to HD. Your HD set probably will not down rez 4k for you. I do know by experience that Dish down rezed last summer's Olympics to HD even though the channel was 4k. But, it wouldn't hurt to...
