For anyone who cares, it appears that FiOS will expand its' 4K channel offering during the Olympics. I checked last night, and they have at least 5 channels targeted to cover the games.

It's been about a month and a half since my last update. And since that time, all of my Altice One boxes have improved, performance wise. I can switch between channels, call up the program guide and use the DVR with just little to no hesitation. Knock on wood, but I haven't had the boxes freeze...

I haven't seen their site. But, FiOS has been available for at least 5-6 years in parts of Dutchess County. Areas of Poughkeepsie, Fishkill & Beacon. Maybe other areas, as well. But, those are the only ones in which I am aware.

Quick update...Altice One boxes have slowed down just a bit. Pulling up the guide, and scrolling through, sometimes freezes before it moves on. I've had to do a couple of reboots because the box just froze up completely. To this point, I'm still happy with the service in general.

Ok...Strike 2! Called back a little bit ago, with no luck, still. Although, she did can cel my request to terminate AND got myself $5/month off. Not what I was hoping for, but at least I tried.

Didn't work for me. Got retention and spoke with a pleasant woman. Asked the reason for wanting to cancel, I told her just trying to cut back on a few things. Clicked on “List” so I could watch some recorded programs, to find everything is gone. Update came through last week and all was good, with recorded list at nearly 60%. Very strange and wife isn’t happy. Any ideas as to what could happened??
