Getting nervous no new news on getting this channel before start of Nba season.

Installer just left and i have my new hr34 up and running. I think I got a pretty good deal free with 2yr commitment. I was offered the 199.00 and 49.00 install price but my hr23 went down and with customer service issues they gave me this deal. Very happy.:)

Mike4HDTV Are you saying that you're able to play the movie in 1080p/24 through your receiver? If so what's the model you're using because members like me and DJRob have had no success with our Denon receivers hdmi handshaking correctly with our HR's.

Im with you goailebob I've been testing this CE for over a month and I still have the same hdmi handshake issues with my Denon receiver going back to my Samsung 120hrz LCD. I know for sure that my receiver is 1080p/24 compliant as I have no problems with my PS3 bluray player displaying this...

There are still handshake issue with my Denon 3808CI receiver..the 720p and 1080i lights are on the HR20 but just black screen with no audio. Are any of you able to go hdmi through your receiver and get the movie to play 1080p/24. I think Directv will have to fix this issue before it goes national.

DJ Rob I am having the same problem with my Denon 3808CI receiver. Taking it out of the loop my HR20 has no problem displaying 1080p/24. It looks like they are going to have to fix the hdmi handshake issues we still have with our receivers in the upcoming CE releases.

Any answers yet, Im in the same boat can't tune to the 1000's.
