    Keep losing communication between the remote and receiver vip722

    I have a Vip722 that is doing the same thing on TV1 and TV2. It has been happening for the last 2 days. I did the reboot and it fixes the problem temporarily but when you turn the box off and come back later the problem reappears. Was there a software update recently? This is really annoying!

    Actually, I think I have a 1000.2 (not a 1000.4). I am not on EA. Again I wonder: Did they add Huntsville HD locals on 119 to get away from the 61.5 wing dish they were having to install because most folks have a 129, 119, and 110 set up if they subscribe to HD?

    I am in the Huntsville, AL DMA. My set up is 129, 119, and 110 with a 1000.4 and 61.5 with a 500 wing dish feeding a ViP 722 and a ViP 222. As of 06/16/2010 I get the HD locals from 119 instead of 61.5. 1. Why did they move from 61.5 to 119? Is this to get away from the 61.5 wing dish...

    Yes and no. WAAY-DT HD was uplinked for a time, but they never came to an agreement. DISH finally removed WAAY-DT HD. It was never available to subscribers. If they have recently started to uplink WAAY-DT HD that is a good sign it may show up soon. :up lowdown

    I am just outside Huntsville, AL about 20 miles south of the Alabama - Tennessee border. When I checked I thought I could get the Nashville HD and SD stations but not Birmingham HD stations. I think I can get Birmingham SD stations. If I "move" I would prefer to get Nashville. lowdown
