I have told them 6 times that I do not want their warranty, but they keep trying to slip it in. Also a charge for a second receiver.

April 27th Today UPS came with a 622 receiver AND an empty box. I refused them. I had cancelled this item on 4/17 and gotten a credit back on my card on 4/19. One of these days there will be one more 622 to go around. I quit trying to figure these guys out so I'm just reporting events now.

I told them to shove it, when they said it would be another month and I would have to requalify for it. They wanted to give me an install date of May 24 and said that was the best they could do.

It's the 129 foot print. It just doesn't cover the coast well, but they install them anyway. Then, it doesn't work and you have to come up with your own fix as Dish is in denial over it.

If set up right, the Dish 1000 will work Ok for 110 & 119 but NOT 129. You will need a second larger dish for 129.

That's EXACTLY what happened to me. I finally told them to shove it and give my money back, which resulted in a call from some guy. He was all apologetic and said that the truth was that they ran out of the 622 and they are back ordered and won't have them till the end of May. But who knows...

This kind of crap is exactly why it's better to lease, at least from Dish Network.

YES! That seems to be the latest trick from dish. If you call them and they say the installer is going to bring it, you will not get it. Schedule your appointment for early morning. That way you will not waste the entire day waiting for them, when they don't show or don't have the equipment
