I find in my case a second HDDVR (got $200 credit for HR20 I bought in Circuit City, because they shipped me HR21, and I asked for HR20) is a much better option then TV2. It gives me four HD tuners and 2 HD feeds instead of TV2 SD feed. $5/month is a very decent price for that option.

There is an error in your math. Octal 76 = 7*8 + 6 = Decimal 62. But Dish has now something close to Decimal 42. So why idea was good, the equation was wrong. Also I doubt somebody at Dish knows anything about octal system, they can't even count correctly in decimal system:D

It could be also a long cable run. I had this problem when I had 622. The solution was easy: I installed a powered signal booster at the cable split location (I used it for several TVs).

You math is wrong. I have one 622 receiver with AEP and HD. I am paying $133/month, including taxes. So D* deal is much better.
