    Why do I have a DVR 510 ?

They REQUIRE you to keep it hooked to the phone line? Since I have no landline phone, it's not a good option?

    Why do I have a DVR 510 ?

Question on the dual-tuner 522.... (I got my 510 last year, presumably before the 522 came out) Does the dual-tuning capabilities mean I have to pay for 2 TV's, or is it just paying for 1 TV still with the capability to record one channel and watch another (a'la cable tv)?

Superdish 121 and 119 LMB not connected?

Ok. Again with the sat finder. I went out and turned down the sensitivity and then peaked it at 10 again. When I put the small jumper cable from the 3rd port on the DP34, it doesn't get enough power to fire up the sat finder. So, I switched out and put the 110 sat on the 3rd port and put the...

Superdish 121 and 119 LMB not connected?

Ok, I got the signal finder in the mail today. I hooked up a 4 or 5 foot cable (satellite RG-6) from the DP34 to the signal finder at one end and from the 105 lnb at the other end. The signal finder didn't do a thing. At all. Then.. it beeped and a light came on for less than a second...

Superdish 121 and 119 LMB not connected?

Gotcha, thanks for the link. I just ordered one and hopefully this will fix my problem. I don't understand why I had no problems picking up 105 before but now finding it is like looking for a needle in a haystack, but I'm all for trying everything possible before having to call Dish and go...

Superdish 121 and 119 LMB not connected?

Ok, the mast is plumb. I used a level on all sides. It sits about 5' high at the top, not including the height of my superdish. I never changed the skew (109) and I set the elevation to about 42. Then I brought the dish around left and right to hit the same angle that I see on a few other...

    get 110 but not 119

Getting ready to fix my mast for my superdish and read the reference to "plumb" again. I'm wondering... what do you use to make sure the mast is plumb? A standard level on all sides? A bubble-level stuck into the top of the pole?

Superdish 121 and 119 LMB not connected?

This is what I was hoping to hear! I'll go ahead and permanently fix the mast (2-foot hole with some quick-crete) and then get a weatherproof box for my DP34, then I'll continue troubleshooting and report back the good or bad news. Thanks for the reply SS, I appreciate it. I was about to pull...

Superdish 121 and 119 LMB not connected?

Just an additional note: I just noticed that when I touch my DP34 switch on the outside metal, I feel a faint tingle, the same type of tingle that I feel when I touch the copper conductor on any cable coming from the DP34 to an LNB. I'm guessing that this is the DC needed to power the LNB's...

Superdish 121 and 119 LMB not connected?

Hi, I've got a similar problem so I thought I'd keep it in this thread. I've got a 510 receiver and a superdish (105) and I just moved. I moved my dish myself, and have had few problems except the occasional signal loss because my dish is just temporarily fixed in the ground for now and...
