    internet text quality using revue

I'm interested in the Revue for browsing the Internet but am concerned about how legible the text wold be on my 65" dlp. I currently use Roku to stream from Netflix. Is the Google display section of the Revue in HD? Would I be able to clearly read all the posts et al on our forum here...

Anyone else notice the lag on 722k's now?

My remote 1 (I have just one tv) is labeled IR and the manual only gives instructions for changing the Remote Control 2 to UHF. How does one go about making Remote Control 1 to transmit UHF instead of IR? Thanks. Shelly

logitech revue and $4 monthly integration fee

Thanks Scott. When I was last on the forum, I think you had only 25,000 posts. :) I understand what the integration does. I would not want the integration but am asking if anyone has been able to eliminate the auto $4 monthly fee that comes when you first sign up to get the Revue. Shelly

logitech revue and $4 monthly integration fee

I realize that the Revue is just starting to ship from Dish but has anyone been able to eliminate the $4 monthly integration fee? Or actually found out how long the commitment is for? Thanks. I'm just coming back to Dish after 3-4 years with Comcast and have been catching up on forum...

    pixilation-picture and sound breaking up

Yes always over 89 when I look bu I sometimes get the complete dropout and searching for sattelite screen. So you think that my lnb may be going out? Could this result from any moisture in the line by the fittings? I did clean the surface of the dish and lnb of any excessive dirt/dust but...

    pixilation-picture and sound breaking up

Thanks for the reply. The temperature range is not very severe here in coastal CA but it could be a bad lnb. The strange thing is that right after the post, when I went back to watching, all the pixilation had stopped and never returned the rest of the evening. This morning, with fog...

    pixilation-picture and sound breaking up

I never had a problem before but now, and ONLY in the evening, thee is continual breaking up of the picture and sound on all the HD channels. During the day, things are pefect. My house is on a hilltop with no trees or anything else near the dish. It is aimed at 61.5, through some hills a...

My first 211 froze 7 times the first 4 hours after it was installed. But dish replaced it and my new 211 has performed flawlessly. Shelly

ALL VOOM TO GO MPEG4 AUGUST 15th

I was one of the original Voom subscribers and have had the Dish Voom since Dish acquired the channels. I recently swapped my 6000 receiver for the 211. The picture quality is superb and many of the Voom channels are on a par with the Comcast HD channels I also receive. Even digital sd looks...

    leaving 211 on 24/7

Any problems associated with leaving 211 or any Dish receiver on 24/7 or is it better to keep the default timeout-put to sleep for inactivity? I usually keep my comcast and Dish receivers on 24/7 but never was aware of an auto standby mode before when I had my 6000 on 24/7. Shelly

    replacement 211 seems to work

And thanks for the support you lent in my other thread when I was having all the problems with my first 211. Some concern this morning as I always leave my sat and cable boxes on 24/7 and noticed the Dish 211 green light was not on. I turned on the tv and there was a Dish screen telling me to...

    replacement 211 seems to work

A week ago, I started a thread about receiving both 61.5 and 129, thinking my upgrade to mpeg 4 VIP 211 included new 1000.2 dish. The installer, however, kept my current setup (dish 500 for 110,119 and dish 300 aimed at 61.5 with 2 sw-21 switches) and just gave me new 211. I had 7 freezes in...

dishes pointing at both 61.5 and 129?

After the hard reboot, it went out again after 30 minutes. I did the "clear switch matrix" and it acknowledged 110, 119 and 61.5 but there was nothing in the Device coumn. Then, while loading, it shut down again. I did soft reboot and now loading again. Picture and programming now...

dishes pointing at both 61.5 and 129?

Hi Randall, He just installed the receiver. Nothing else was cfhanged. I edited my post to give more information. Have now done hard reboot and will see wht happens. I still have 3 hours before the installation company closes. I will try your sugggestion if it shuts down again. Thaks.

dishes pointing at both 61.5 and 129?

Here's an update on my installation. The installer did not have a work order to install the Dish 1000.2 because I am currently using 61.5 in my 2 dish setup. He left my two dishes in place and just hooked up the 211 to my cables and my programming came on. He left. Ten minutes later...

dishes pointing at both 61.5 and 129?

Thanks for the important information and for the info you sent me in the PMs. I just went out to look at the 61.5 dish. It seems that all I would have to do is remove one screw on the underside and slide it off to swap out the lnb if I had to do it myself. Is this correct? Shelly

dishes pointing at both 61.5 and 129?

Then I will suggest this o the installer. I get high 80's, low 90's on transponders of 61.5. Does the lnb have to be changed out on that dish as I have a Legacy system now? Shelly

dishes pointing at both 61.5 and 129?

Since I am on the West coast 12 miles inland from the ocean, it looks then that I will be stuck with 129. I only say stuck based on the threads I have read here about the variations in signal strength on 129. When I started with Dish HD, there was only 61.5 which I managed to get from my...

dishes pointing at both 61.5 and 129?

I appreciate all the feedback. I was more of a regular poster back in the original Voom days and had lost touch with recent developments with Dish HD. It's all moot, anyway, for today as I just got a call that the installer's truck broke down and I have been resceduled for Thurday am. At least...

dishes pointing at both 61.5 and 129?

I've also been reading threads about variable signal strength from 129. I do not want to lose service during our winter rainy season. It sounds like I should try to keep my 61.5 if possible. I get 89-92 signal strenth on all transponders on 61.5 now. Installation is due today from 12 noon to 5...

dishes pointing at both 61.5 and 129?

Thanks for the very quick response. I, of course, now only hve legacy sw 21 switches and will be dependent on the installer. I have read that the 1000.2 has the necessary switch built in? Is that true? I would assume that if the same channel is available on two satellites, and both are...

dishes pointing at both 61.5 and 129?

I currently have dish pointed at 61.5 but have installation scheduled for later today for the transition to Mpeg 4. If the new dish points to 110, 119 and 129, and we keep the 61.5 as well, how do I control which hd sat (61.5 or 129) feed is being used at the time? I am interested because...

ALL VOOM TO GO MPEG4 AUGUST 15th

My switchover from my owned 6000 to a leased 211 will be happening tomorrow. I currently have a 2 dish setup using legacy sw-21 switches. A Dish 500 is aimed at 110 and 119, and a Dish 300 is aimed at 61.5. I live in CA but the 129 satellite did not exist when I first got my hd programming...

ALL VOOM TO GO MPEG4 AUGUST 15th

I also received the email today. I'll be saying goodbye to my Dish 6000 for a new leased (with no monthly lease charge) Dish 211. It should be a significant upgrade with hdmi and the ability to continue viewing your current channel while surfing the program guide. I have been a strictly hd...

    622 hd output question

Thanks Gary but no need to go to the trouble. I already have the Audio Authority component/digital audio switchbox, and acually have just as good results using y-splitters for both the video and optical audio to send hd and 5.1 to another room. Both methods worked well for me. When I...
