The Knowledge channel and government channel are about all thats left. Access has turned to CTV2, and there are a few shopping channels ITC as well. I get them on an old previously subbed one, but the maps don't match the same as my current subbed box.

If you look at the pics, this is an old unit. It does not have HDMI or even component from what I can see. You'll notice a lot of videocipher stuff on ebay as of late as analog is going away and people are trying to offload stuff ......

Feed hunting is probably the most rewarding aspect of this hobby for me anyhow. Its great to watch a backhaul news feed or sporting event in true HD without commercials. To be quite honest, I rarely watch any of the regularly scheduled channels anymore .....

I do, it wasn't Playboy though if I remeber it correctly. I thought it was on one of the T sats on the old GI out at the farm ..... :D

Would something like this also help on a normal stardard KU LNB. I'm thinking in particular on the AMC3 PBS feeds. I'm booming on the other transponders, but always have issues with the PBS 12179 transponder no matter what I try.

PBS fluctuates all the time on my 36" here in Canada.

That should work no problem. Take a look at The List SatelliteGuys.US - TheList, it will show you whats in the clear on both C-band and KU-band DVB. If you are going to buy a DVB box, get one with blind scan such as the Traxis or a Fortec Mercury II. Both are < $200 from anyone of the sponsers...

VoIP or digital phone does not work well with satellite internet as there are latency problems. If your going to go VoIP, get a cable or dsl connection and you'll be fine.
