autohop - why does it work only with Prime time

These shows were recorded months and months after turning PT off.

autohop - why does it work only with Prime time

I have no idea how it is happening as we tried prime time but the wife hated it and we turned it off, but some shows autohop. America's Funniest Home Videos for one.

DISH Hacked - Websites are BACK ONLINE!

At most we will get a year of a second-rate "identify protection service" for free. Or that's been my experience with other data breaches.

Tegna Dispute - how much longer?!

Please, don't remind me. That seemed like an eternity, but at least my channel 2 worked better OTA than my tegna channel 8..

    DVR alert: Battlebots

Thank you, thank you thank you, I would have missed it. It repeats later in the evening (9:00 PST) so I was able to set that one to record. Love the show but without a DVR it would be unwatchable there are soooo many commercials.

    OLED AND DISH PICTURE QUALITY

Yup. Except for the big recall I love the car.

    OLED AND DISH PICTURE QUALITY

LG OLEDS give a fantastic picture. No current technology has blacker blacks. Great contrast and more than adequate brightness for me. Mine is a 2017 model and hopefully they have been able to make it less susceptible to burn-in. Mrs Volts is a new junkie and there are there are several...

Tegna Dispute - how much longer?!

We have lost NBC and my antenna is marginal when it rains (in Portland, HA). The peacock interface, well it's worse than Dish on Demand. Cumbersome and slow on our LG OLED and on an Sammy tablet. Greed, nothing but greed.

    Hopper 3 in Enclosed Cabinet?

No problem as the remote is RF. If you're going to put the H3 in a cabinet, make sure there is decent ventilation - I have a 100mm computer fan on the back of my cabinet.

    4K Events Discussion Thread

Yes, at last! The Browns/Packers game looked great on 540-02. (Except for the final score that is) No error messages, colors good, saturation good; on my LG OLED no less. The end of the world must be near!

Getting 890 error message on 4K ch 540

Good luck! Channel up then down may work for you. Just waiting 20-30 seconds may work for you. Both used to work for me. This is a longstanding Dish bug from which some people suffer and others don't. LG OLED's seem to be particularly vulnerable. Love the picture but after this, the...

    Manually Recording On Hopper

The way to get to manual timers is a little bit hidden. Do the following: DVR --> Timers --> Options --> Create a custom timer. Easy once you know how to do it.

DISH Fights for a Fair Deal, Tegna Prioritizes Greed above Consumers

Same here (KGW). Sad that they didn't even have the common decency to pull the plug at the end of a show.

    4K Events Discussion Thread

I've pretty much given up hope of 4k ever working again on my set. During the Olympics I could just wait and the message would go away but now, nothing. Waiting, up then back, down then back, still get the dreaded error. LG OLED with high quality cables from Monoprice.

4K HDCP Errors (Hopper 3 and Joey 4K)

During the Olympics the error would disappear after 10-20 seconds, silly but I could live with that. Buy trying to watch NCAA football last week and this week, no way I could get it to go away. Live the up/down trick is not working and if recorded there's no way to do that. I have a couple...

    Olympics in 4K?

I watched a little bit of 4K tennis last night. I'm no real tennis fan so it was as exciting as watching paint dry - but it was very sharp and clear paint. After a few HDCP errors it worked without problems. The tennis was bright and colorful but when I left everything was dark for a little...

    Just curious, is “moving” legal?

More like I bought a ticket to one high school football game, so I'm entitled to sneak into a different high school game. Not nearly as bad. I think this is more a question of personal ethics.

    Joey

If you bought a premade cable realize that there is some real lousy stuff on the market, and it was probably too long - the shorter the better. If you made the cable yourself, which is easy to do, did you use high quality RG6? If you don't have one, spring for the kit with a special coax...

    High Pitch Noise from Dish?

If the VA can't help and you have to pay for your aids out of pocket here's one thing to remember. At the major hearing centers (Miracle Ear, etc.) the personnel are paid on commission, but at Costco they are on salary. It does make a difference. As an aside, after I was discharged in the mid...

    Dear Dish:

Good for some but the example I'm thinking of is in the wilds of Eastern Oregon. AT&T is spotty and my T-Mobil phone is useless when we drive out there to visit. (But believe it or not in the middle of town there's a ChargePoint station for my car)
