Oh, I completely agree with you. I've been waiting since that long as well and have been fooled on the one, two month, soon, etc. stories as well. So I'm hopeful but doubtful anything will be different 2 months from now. Like you said, just wanted to pass on what technicians were telling people...

A friend just moved to a new house and get the HD package from dish. The person who did the install said we should have HD locals in 1 to 2 months... hopefully he is right.

Well... thanks for trying. Did you mention that Directv doesn't have a problem? Maybe someday they'll actually admit the problem. I'm currently still holding out hope that the new satelite will carry it like a previous poster said.

I too have been seeing the weird color changes, mostly on ABC, but I think I've seen it on all the local SD channels.

Yes, Directv has the local HD channels. In the thread I provided, there is some discussion about why we don't get them with Dish.

I'm about 25 miles west of you and in a valley. TV Fool says I have no chance of receiving any signals. Oh well.

What kind of antenna do you have? All of the antenna websites say I won't receive signal, but I have not actually tried one.

I think that's the most information we have ever received. Thanks for obtaining it. It is sad that they choose to ignore it. Once Directv gets MRV out of CE, I'm going to switch. My contract is almost up with Dish and I'm not going to wait anymore.
