one of my 2 HD receivers is on and i can see the channel banner and all that but it totally shows up as blank otherwise. There is no feed coming on the screen just the 2 banners. Also every few minutes the program guide keeps saying its trying to get new data without me even pressing a button...

I did the calling over the period of about 20 minutes until i figured out what to do. If i have an issue like i usually come on the forums for advice.

i finally figured this out. just wait until the voice prompts quit asking for entering input over and over and it connected me with a CSR:)

is that really the only way.

i am wanting to contact DISH so i can cancel my service. i know the phone numbers and such but i would like to know how to get to a CSR directly to cancel service.

Im only using one receiver so it is not a big deal for me.

With the offer they gave me i was able to buy my receiver and not need to lease.

Another thing to add. i am not really into the HD aspect of directv. I just try to find the best lineup of SD channels:)

I agree with you i had D* back in 2000 but sacked it because it was not as great at the time. Now i come back again because they have made big strides

I think for the rich folks on this forum they could pay the fees for the new PPV but i think the majority of very low money persons would not even think about it. These fee increases are like rising airline fares.:down
