I Just canceled my Dish account and I forgot to ask the CSR about any prepaid time left on my account. They turned off the programming before i got off the phone. Don't I actually pre-pay a month before the actual program month I am getting? Does this mean I should be getting a credit check...

OK so just curious. I am at work and cannot check this: Did people with DishHD Absolute get this new channel? To my knowledge this is the first new channel since the 1st of the year. Or should I not even count this since it is more of a replacement channel?

That wouldn't really be a problem for me since I usually only watch locals on OTA Now anyway, the SD Locals are only emergency backup when I have a programming conflict. My main concern is this silliness that I have to pay or extend my contract to get a dish for programming that I am already...

The other night when the Dish NBA Season ticket or whatever it's called spot came on I just about crapped my pants it was so loud. Its most noticeable because the audio is not DD so my Onkyo receiver picks it up as regular and switches to PLIIx and blows me out of my chair.

Wow, this seems like tons of fun. I would like to get EA now for HD Locals in Cincy, but I'm not sure if it's worth all of this hassle. I get OTA HD fine, but there have been times where I want to record more than one local show at a time.

For those folks who have an installer coming out to install your new dish to get locals (existing customers), are you having to pay for any of this?

Still on my original 622. Have had it for exactly 2 years now.

Fortunately Sarah Connor is moving to Friday. Hopefully this will resolve itself :)
