I have recently been thinking about changing over to the Dish HD Absolute pack to save on my monthly bill. Right now its right around $99.00 for top 250 with hd and locals. I just cant justify paying that much for tv programming that doesnt get watched. About 95% of our tv viewing we could get...

The only thing thats holding me back from going to the hd only pack is I will truly miss comedy central. As soon as comedy central (which looks like a long time off) is added, im going to switch.

I loathe thinking about having to call one of these companies csr's. It's just about any company any more, but iv'e been pretty lucky thus far not having to call dish with any problems. Even though now that I say that, iv'e probably cursed myself.:eek:

Why, Dish? Why? I loved monsters hd, and gameplay hd. Im telling ya, if direct ends up getting voom its bye bye dish, Might be bye bye anyway. As soon as i thought they were getting their heads out of their butts they pull this S***. GRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!

Flint, Saginaw, bay city locals were added about a month ago. If you dont have the 61.5 dish you have to call and have them install it for you to be able to get the locals in hd

I second that. People are bitching about not getting more national hd, but there is no hd on those channels right now anyway. Ya bitch cause there is no hd channel now, but when you do get it you'll bitch because they never show any hd. I personally like monstershd and gameplayhd very much.

If im not right please correct me, but how long have you been a subscriber? I believe you must be a subscriber for a certain length of time before you can upgrade online. Something like 3 months or so.

It would be nice to get the encore channels in hd. Ive been watching these channels more and more lately.

I agree , there are more important channels than world fishing hd that they should get on first, but i think the world fishing channel would be cool, especially in hd. I actually watch fishing on the outdoor channel when i get a chance.

Does anyone know or has anyone heard when hbo or starz is going to be switching some of their secondary channels to hd? I actually heard that starz would be doing it by years end? is this true?

Ok, thanks for the help. So in other words i need to find a Local selection in HD that is brought in on sat 119, 129, or 110. i noticed there are quite a few on these sats.
